They are in this business for more than 170 years, and started their career from producing ebauches for other companies. It all began when Antonio LeCoultre established a very small factory in Switzerland in 1833. He is a well known personality for his very valuable invention of “millionometer” which helped to improve the accuracy of watches. Till 1910 the company was mainly engaged in producing the movements to other companies.

Their career took a turning point when the company merged with Jaeger and established a new company under the title of “Jaeger-LeCoultre”. The both names were famous for their movements and when they joined together, then more horological wonders started to happen such as designing the world’s smallest movement weighing less than 1gm.and first ever stainless steel case.

1931 was the year of “Reverso” a wristwatch designed with unique movements. It was warmly welcomed by the people, however, due to political and economic condition of region (World War) at that time the watch could not get an international fame. The “Reverso” was re launched in 1960 and this time everything was favorable, the watch got immense popularity & appreciation world wide.
